Council Meeting Recap – United Voices, Shared Purpose Bringing together 250+ ESTIEMers from 75+ universities, this Council Meeting Niš, which was organised between 6th to 12th of November in Niš, Serbia, showcased our network’s strength in diversity and collaboration. CM ensures transparency and unity, creating a shared space for reflection and collective progress across the network. • Strategic Direction & Governance We revisited key pillars through the Strategic Framework and Board Reports, providing clarity on future priorities. Discussions on Membership & Local Groups, and proposals reinforced our standards. Financial responsibility remained central, with the approval of annual accounts and the upcoming budget ensuring sustainable management. • Professional Growth & Innovation The meeting emphasized development through corporate partnerships, academic collaborations, and projects like the ESTIEM Magazine, Podcast, and TIMES. • Learning With NGO Partners Insights from AEGEE, VWI, EESTEC, and BEST provided invaluable benchmarks on sustainability and collaboration. The AEGEExESTIEM map highlighted new opportunities for local-level cooperation. • Working Groups & Training Sessions – Collaboration Turning Into Action Working Groups enabled members to dive into complex topics, ensuring knowledge transfer and leadership development beyond the general sessions. Key Updates & Decisions • New Leader The new Podcast Leader got elected! We wish her great success for the upcoming mandate. • New Project “Self-ESTIEM Book” officially became the newest project of ESTIEM. • New Observer Group Local Group Baku is now an Observer Group congratulations, and we wish them many years of growth and achievements! • New Guest Group Local Group Bergen joined ESTIEM as a Guest Group. We are excited to welcome them to the network and look forward to seeing them thrive. • Board Proposals The Council approved the Board to start the investigation of a potential ESTIEM House, and the proposed updates to the ESTIEM Dashboard were accepted. • Budget Approval The ESTIEM Budget for the 25/26 mandate was officially approved. • Board Discharge The 35th Board was formally discharged, closing an important chapter in ESTIEM’s journey. Key motions were approved, including the LGX Motion, the Financial Investigation Motion, and the Financial Controller Motion.
