🚀 Another major milestone for ESS: ODIN is ready to receive neutrons. Built by Technical University of Munich and PSI Paul Scherrer Institut, ODIN will open new possibilities in neutron imaging, combining neutron and X-ray techniques. Thanks to the long-pulsed neutron beam unique to ESS, ODIN will go beyond taking a simple snapshot with neutrons and will reveal how materials behave under changing conditions. 🔬These capabilities will support discoveries across a wide range of fields, such as cultural heritage, paleontology, mechanical and chemical engineering, biomedicine, food science and plant physiology.
