As more drivers make the switch to electric vehicles, the need for a reliable and accessible public charging network continues to grow. At ESB Networks, we are enabling this transition by supporting charge point operators as they expand charging infrastructure across Ireland. Innovation plays a key role in how we do this. We’ve recently kicked off a new pilot with EZO EV Charging, exploring a technological solution to increase the power available on the existing low voltage network. If successful, this solution could significantly reduce both the time and cost of connecting EV charging infrastructure. It also has the potential to support higher-powered charging in space-constrained locations, such as smaller car parks, ultimately benefiting EV drivers across Ireland. We’re also working closely with key stakeholders, including Zero Emission Vehicles Ireland and Transport Infrastructure Ireland, to help deliver a more accessible and reliable EV charging network nationwide. Watch the video to learn more about how collaboration is helping to accelerate Ireland’s electric future. Maire Scully, Cillian Rooney, Rosemary Wynne
