The 2026 ElectricAid AGM recently took place at ESB Head Office, bringing together colleagues and partners to reflect on the charity’s impact and future direction. Established in 1987 by ESB and EirGrid Group employees, ElectricAid has supported over 2,500 projects in Ireland and globally, providing more than €25 million in funding. The meeting was opened by Orla Gallagher, CSR Manager, ESB, with contributions from Adrian Kelly, Executive Committee Chair, and Aoibheann Giblin, Treasurer. A key highlight was a panel discussion with Anne Cleary from Aidlink, Cassandra Murtagh from Misean Cara, and Susie Cunningham from Our Lady's Hospice & Care Services, Harold's Cross, Blackrock & Wicklow, chaired by Luke O’Halloran, exploring funding challenges in 2026 and the vital role of donor support. A new 13-member ElectricAid Committee was also appointed on the day. As ElectricAid approaches its 40th anniversary in 2027, its mission remains focused on delivering meaningful and sustainable impact in Ireland and across the globe.
