The 2026 Road Safety Reimagined Awards brought together more than 1,000 students from across Ireland at University of Limerick to highlight the lifelong and devastating impacts of speeding on our roads. As sponsors of the event, our continued support reinforces our commitment to road safety and the wellbeing of the communities we serve. The initiative, led by Dr. Christina O'Connor in partnership with An Garda Síochána showcases the power of student creativity in promoting safer road behaviours. Paul Stapleton, ESB Executive Director, Group Finance and Commercial presented the Oisín Crotty Road Safety Inspiration Award to Sylvia and Eamon Mooney, in recognition of their outstanding road safety advocacy. Congratulations to all participating institutions and, in particular, to the South East Technological University students whose impactful winning campaign addressed the long‑term consequences of road fatalities through a portrayal of childhood grief. #ESBNetZeroFuture
