eSafety was pleased to be part of Women Deliver, joining almost 6,000 global colleagues committed to advancing gender equality across public and private life. Women Deliver is one of the clearest examples of what’s possible when people come together to openly discuss, debate and collaborate on how we move forward as a global community so everyone can fully participate in the online and offline world. During a main stage discussion, eSafety Commissioner Julie Inman Grant PSM joined former Prime Minister The Hon. Julia Gillard AC to draw on decades of experience across policy, technology and regulation. The conversation reaffirmed Australia is at the forefront of online safety regulation, even as we continue to test and evolve our powers to hold Big Tech to account and protect and elevate diverse voices online. Alongside the Global Institute for Women's Leadership - ANU, Minderoo Foundation, Equality Now, Our Watch, UN Women, RMIT University and others, the Commissioner also explored the emerging harms we’re seeing online and the urgent need to ensure gender equality is front and centre, especially as part of the generative AI revolution. Collectively, we’re working towards creating safer, more inclusive digital spaces for all.
