Dr Shirley Ann Jackson has shattered glass ceilings in math and science for Black women. She played a role in shaping the telecommunication industry and paved the way for the use of the fax machine, call waiting and caller ID. Dr. Shirley Ann Jackson was the First African-American Woman to received a Ph.D. from MIT, and the second woman in the United States to earn a Ph.D. in physics. Taking a moment to honor history in the making. #knowyourhistory #vabbd #stemeducation #womeninhistory
