How do you commute to work? Our colleague, Poom Siraprapasiri, Consulting Partner, opts for his bicycle, undertaking a 20-kilometer round-trip commute from his home to our Bangkok office. When faced with challenging weather conditions, such as those brought on by La Niña this year, he transitions to his electric car. However, he confesses that he misses the health benefits and daily energy boost that cycling provides. Poom also utilizes a cargo bike for kindergarten drop-offs, yet he values the flexibility of a folding bike, which allows him to seamlessly integrate cycling with public transit when necessary. Cycling has been Poom’s preferred mode of transport since 2005, when he resided in the United States. Upon returning to Thailand in 2007, he became actively engaged in promoting safe and convenient cycling in Bangkok, collaborating with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and local civil society organizations to advance active transportation, including walking and cycling. #ActiveLifestyle #DailyCommute
