In-person (Sydney): Space Law, the Energy and Resources Industry, and Space Mining - 18 June 2026 - 5:00pm - 6:30pm The space industry is growing in importance as innovation in space is finding increasing application on Earth. The energy and resources sectors are no exception. Satellite technology is enabling fundamental aspects of the resources industry (such as Earth observation and geological surveys) and supporting operational aspects of energy and resources companies (such as communications). This seminar will provide an overview of the space law regimes, a discussion around how the space industry supports the energy and resources sector, and an outline of some of the legal issues with space mining. We are delighted to welcome James Minchinton, General Counsel at Gilmour Space Technologies, who will share his unique perspective, drawing on decades of experience across the energy and resources sector. 📅 Thursday, 18 June 2026 🕔 5.00pm for a 5.30pm start 📍 Gadens, Level 29, 8 Chifley Square, Sydney 🎟 Complimentary for members and guests 📚 1 CPD point (Substantive Law) If you're in NSW and have an interest in energy, resources, technology or emerging legal issues, save the date and secure your place now at erlaw.org.au We look forward to seeing you there.
