What is leadership ?..... Great question ! easy right.... or is it⁉️ This week saw me asking this question once more, to our Business and Operational Leaders in Amsterdam, through the dnata Leadership Development Programme💫 Our inhouse programme is the first of its kind. Created by HQ Head of Training; Steve Clark. Driven and lead by the regions across all divisions of Airport Ops, Travel, Catering & Retail. ✈️ 🧳 🥗 🛍️ 🌍 Determined by our global senior leadership; to cascade through the leadership population to possess the required leadership capabilities. Anchoring our global standards, vision, mission, values and organizational culture. Being given the opportunity to launch the programme in 2023. I was put in the driving seat for our region’s businesses of Amsterdam, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland and the UK. I grabbed this with both hands! As Project and Training Lead, has seen me delivering to 300+ Senior Leaders across our operational spaces from Heads of department, PAX to Cargo to back office Leaders. Endorsing training leads in each business to deliver to our Frontline Leaders along the way. The key word really is development. Offering a blended learning approach, deep dive modules to complete through self-reflection. Personal development plans and performance enhancement management to follow and build. 🌱 This programme plants the seed with a toolbox offered to cultivate and grow full potentials. Focusing on People, on Performance, good Leadership Characteristics, Leadership Styles, Effective Communication, Conflict Management, Coaching and Feedback to name just a few…. 🌳     The feedback to this programme has been incredible! A true example of cocreation! For me it is about the value I’ve been able to give to our businesses which is my true reward. When my boss, Stewart Angus, hired me, he said put a little bit of “Erin” into everything you do. This programme allowed me to fulfil this with positivity, passion and energy. I believe in it! Achieving MASLOWS self-actualisation top tier. I will be forever grateful for the opportunity I was gifted. Especially when then asked to be coach and mentor beyond this programme. What an honour ! What a privilege !
