𝐂𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫: a major AI drawback that now has a name. Read all about this phenomenon in the source-backed sharing by Steven van de Ridder (👇). The data doesn't lie: cognitive surrender is becoming a growing issue. And it's not just the occurrence itself, but the challenge of how to even detect it on the team that's concerning. In the pre-AI era, there was a certain "proof of work" in deliverables, where effort usually implied a level of understanding of the source materials and thought behind the formulated insights. This has changed. Of course, sometimes it's obvious; I was recently talking to a Partner who recounted an Associate handing in a 10-page analysis to a complex question within 30 minutes. In cases like that, the value is easy to assess. But in most instances, it's harder. To actively combat cognitive surrender, we believe it takes more than just vigilance, including AI tools that are designed with the right checks to reinforce human scrutiny rather than bypass it. I highly recommend reading Steven's complete sharing here: https://lnkd.in/eip49eZi Wellknown #AI #Consulting #FutureOfWork
