Every once in a while, the universe sends a reminder that you're on the right path. After a series of increasingly ridiculous meet-cutes at 30 Rock, Phil Rosenthal and I finally stopped literally running into each other and laughed. "Ya think we're supposed to meet?" If you know, you know. If you don't, this gentlemen is the creator of Everybody Loves Raymond (CBS) and Somebody Feed Phil (Netflix). The synchronicity did not surprise me. That's my life. It was the connection. We talked development. Because, of course. The slow, invisible process of helping great artists, stories, and ideas come to life. Audiences connect with timeless stories. And timelessness takes time to bake. Development matters. The current music industry might disagree. That's OK. I'm on a mission to develop artists and shows that stand the test of time.
