Now that Pride Month is behind us, it is a good moment to reflect on the many conversations, initiatives and moments of connection across ERGO. At ERGO in Germany, the Pride@ERGO network represents the interests of LGBT+ employees. It initiates a wide range of activities and projects and also acts as an advisory body to the organisation on LGBT+ related topics. Once again, the Pride@ERGO network organised participation in the Christopher Street Day (CSD) in Cologne. This year’s event brought together around 1.5 million people from across Germany and Europe. ERGO was right at the heart of the event. The truck was fully occupied, and the accompanying group behind it was similar in size to last year, with a total of approximately 170 participants: At ERGO Österreich, the DEI network “DiversER GO!” creates space for exchange, information and networking – both among employees and across organisational boundaries. At Grupo DKV in Spain, the LGBTI Ally Network promotes visibility through dedicated activities such as a Visibility Day, where allies actively engage in making their support known in the workplace. At ERGO NEXT Insurance, the five-year-old Pride employee network connects around 70 LGBTQ+ employees and allies. Together with the DEI team, the network fosters awareness year-round through initiatives like the Transgender Day of Remembrance and an internal resource hub. At ERGO, Pride Month is both a moment of visibility and a reminder that inclusion extends far beyond a single month. It is an ongoing commitment.
