Innovate UK Business Connect has featured ErebaGen in a new case study, shining a light on our work to replace hazardous chemical processes with biological alternatives. 🧬 Here's where we are: ✅ Halfway through a two-year Innovate UK-funded programme ✅ Developing a biological route to aromatic nitration: replacing high-temperature, acid-based chemistry with a process that works at room temperature, in water ✅ Working with world-class partners: CPI, National Physical Laboratory (NPL), and Sterling Pharma Solutions to scale our technology and build the data needed for commercialisation ✅ Strengthening our IP and expanding our platform into pharmaceuticals, chemicals, cosmetics and materials The funding has been pivotal in allowing us to carry out more substantial research, build momentum, and keep advancing our technology at a time when raising private investment is particularly challenging. By the end of this project, we aim to have a validated, scalable technology, demonstrating the cost and sustainability advantages of our biocatalytic solution. Our long-term goal is to demonstrate our evolution-based platform can replace other challenging chemical reactions and perform multi-step processes in one pot.
