To improve the ergonomics of certain workstations dedicated to assembly, order preparation, picking, and parts inspection, Vipamat chose to give a second life to medical beds that were due to be discarded by a local supplier. After a few adaptations, including the addition of a plywood worktop, these beds were transformed into height-adjustable workstations. For mobile setups, the original wheels were retained, while for fixed stations, a suitable frame was built. Thanks to the integrated electric lifting system, the height of the worktop can be easily adjusted to suit the operator, improving day-to-day working comfort. A simple, practical reuse-based solution that combines improved working conditions with the repurposing of existing equipment. Thanks to Vipamat for this initiative.
