EPI-USE modernizes payments processing platform for a leading multinational financial services organization. Our client is a leading multinational financial services provider based in New York. They process and reconcile business-to-business payments using a virtual card payments platform. Following changes to third-party cloud service models and rising middleware costs, they sought technology offering better value for money and scalability, with the robustness to which they were accustomed. They engaged EPI-USE to redesign and rebuild the platform using modern cloud-native technologies hosted on Amazon Web Services. Spanning a mere 4 months, the engagement included replacing legacy integration components, simplifying the application architecture, and implementing a scalable event-driven processing model to provide performance, reliability and long-term maintainability. The new platform delivers significantly improved system responsiveness while reducing reliance on third-party middleware services. Hosting costs have been reduced by circa 80 percent, and the modern software architecture provides a more scalable foundation that will accelerate future development, with a meaningfully lower total cost of ownership.
