EPI-USE Labs supports SAP HCM carve-out initiative for South Korea’s Daesang Group. Daesang Group is one of South Korea’s leading food manufacturers, with operations spanning production, distribution and related enterprises, across domestic and foreign markets.  An early adopter, Daesang was one of the first organizations in the Korean food industry to implement SAP S/4HANA. They needed to separate their SAP HCM environment from the new SAP S/4HANA landscape, to preserve more than two decades of payroll history and maintain existing HR and payroll processes, avoiding disruption to critical workforce operations. Daesang appointed the firm Kolon Benit, which partnered with EPI-USE Labs. Using the proprietary PRISM for Payroll technology and the Selective Data Transition methodology, EPI-USE Labs facilitated the carve-out and migration of historical payroll data to a dedicated SAP cloud environment. The project included extensive validation and testing to ensure payroll continuity and data integrity throughout the transition. The engagement was completed successfully with no critical data issues, and no interruption to payroll operations. Daesang now benefits from a dedicated HR and payroll environment that provides greater operational flexibility, enhanced security, improved system performance and a scalable platform to support future business growth.
