An intelligent drying process for fly ash ensures a reliable supply and greater flexibility for the construction industry. Fly ash is an important additive for cement, yet its availability is often influenced by the seasonal operation of power plants. Production typically peaks in winter, while demand from the construction sector is highest in summer. By reducing moisture content, drying transforms fly ash into a free-flowing material, improving handling, transport, storage, and dosing, while preventing technical issues such as clumping or blockages. At the same time, it helps maintain consistent product quality, which is particularly important when fly ash is used as a secondary raw material in cement and building materials. EP Power Minerals addresses this challenge with high-performance drying facilities at key locations across Europe. In Lünen, Germany, our plant converts stored moist fly ash into a high-quality, ready-to-use product. In France, our subsidiary SURSCHISTE operates two drying plants in Saint-Avold and Horning, ensuring reliable processing and a consistent supply to the local construction markets. Looking ahead, a new drying plant is planned at the DRAX fly ash landfill in the United Kingdom by our subsidiary Power Minerals Limited., further strengthening supply security and supporting the growing demand for building materials. Together, these strategically located facilities increase delivery capacity, reduce seasonal dependency, and ensure that customers receive a consistent, high-quality product even during peak demand periods. #EPPowerMinerals #FlyAsh #SecurityOfSupply #BuildingMaterials #Sustainability #Europe
