Poland is moving towards economic realpolitik. This will be a litmus test for Europe’s green transition. 🇵🇱 Today, we have officially presented our #EuropeanSurvey2026 in Warsaw, together with Fundacja E.ON w Polsce, offering fresh insights into the public attitudes towards climate change and the energy transition. In cooperation with Civey, we have surveyed over 10,000 people across 11 European countries. Why we launched our findings directly in Warsaw: As a country with a deeply rooted tradition of coal mining and a pronounced sense of sovereignty, Poland has become the ultimate litmus test for Europe’s green transformation. The new data shows a profound structural shift: public acceptance is moving away from abstract climate debates and firmly into the realm of economic realpolitik. Compared to other European countries, climate concern and support for climate policy measures remain lower in Poland. At the same time, support for international climate targets and renewable energy is growing. Our infographic offers an initial overview of the unique Polish energy landscape in 2026. 💡 For the deep dive, find our full report and more details to Poland here: https://lnkd.in/eBEih39X  ➡️ Our takeaway: To successfully drive decarbonisation in Central and Eastern Europe, we must move beyond abstract economic narratives. Climate and energy policies must be based on local affordability, tangible effects, and regional energy independence.
