đ A flagship example of European energy cooperation: Letter of intent signed for cross boarder project United Heat When it comes to decarbonising Europeâs heating systems, borders shouldnât be barriers they should be bridges. With United Heat two cities once divided are now united by building the carbon-free district heating of tomorrow. On December 2, Representatives from SzczeciĹska Energetyka Cieplna Sp. z o.o. Zgorzelec, Stadtwerke GĂśrlitz Aktiengesellschaft, E.ON Energy Infrastructure Solutions (EIS), and Veolia Germany signed a letter of intent to establish a joint project company to operate a cross-border district heating network that will save up to 50,000 tons of COâ per year starting in 2030.
