The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is implementing two key workforce compliance changes this June. Here is what every private-sector employer needs to know. From June 1, 2026, MoHRE-registered companies must pay employee salaries by the first day of each month under updated Wage Protection System rules. Late payments carry escalating penalties, including work permit suspensions, fines and potential travel bans. Companies with 50 or more employees must meet a 1% Emiratization growth target in skilled roles by June 30, 2026. Financial contributions apply from July 1, 2026, for employers that miss the deadline. Read the full updates below. #Emiratization #UAEImmigration #ImmigrationCompliance
