Small spaces can make a big difference for biodiversity. In Berlin, a community project in Neukölln is transforming part of a local learning centre into a butterfly-friendly habitat designed to support pollinators, connect people with nature and bring biodiversity into the heart of the city. 🦋 The initiative combines workshops, community activities and hands-on learning, helping residents discover how even small gardens, balconies and shared green spaces can support wildlife. Why it matters: 🦋 Pollinators play a vital role in healthy ecosystems 🌱 Urban green spaces can provide important habitats for insects and birds 🤝 Community-led projects help people connect with nature where they live 🌍 Small local actions can add up to meaningful environmental change We often talk about climate and biodiversity at a global scale, but positive change can start on a single street, in a community garden or in a neighbourhood project like this. That is why we share stories like these through #TackleTheCrisis. Because solutions come in all shapes and sizes. 📍 Berlin, Germany 🔗 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eeWEGd8F 👥 LinkedIn: IUCN #TackleTheCrisis #Biodiversity #Pollinators #UrbanNature #CommunityAction
