Whyte & Mackay and ENGIE have announced an innovative renewable energy partnership incorporating 24/7 matching to support more sustainable whisky distilling on the Isle of Jura (UK). Under a bespoke 36-month contract, ENGIE will supply 100% of Whyte & Mackay’s electricity needs through locally generated solar and hydro power, backed by a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).
