EnergyLink Services was pleased to contribute to the Barwon Bioenergy Forum, hosted by the Victorian Bioenergy Network, which brought together a strong cross-section of industry participants to explore the path forward for bioenergy in Australia. As part of the program, Matthew Thomas, Principal of Origination & Trading, shared EnergyLink’s perspective on what is currently driving - and constraining - project progression. A central takeaway was that while interest in bioenergy continues to build, investment ultimately hinges on the ability to create clear, reliable and stackable revenue streams. The discussion focused on how developers are navigating an increasingly complex mix of market instruments, including carbon credits, green gas certificates and renewable fuel schemes, and the role that thoughtful contracting and structuring plays in turning these into financeable outcomes. The forum highlighted both the scale of opportunity across biomethane and renewable fuels, and the practical work still required to align policy, markets and capital. EnergyLink appreciates the opportunity to be part of the conversation and to engage with peers working to advance commercially viable bioenergy projects. #VBN #Bioenergy #Biomethane #ProjectFinance #CarbonMarkets #RenewableFuels #EnergyTransition #Australia
