Building the next generation of energy researchers 🌍🎓 Our own Professor Frede Blaabjerg has once again received international recognition, being ranked as the world’s leading researcher in Electronics and Electrical Engineering by Research.com.   While this is an extraordinary achievement, those who know Frede also know that rankings and awards are not what drive him.   When asked what he is most proud of throughout his career, his answer is not a list of accolades, but the approximately 85 PhD students he has supervised over the years.   "It is fantastic to follow what they are working on and contributing today. I often meet former Aalborg University students at conferences around the world, and many of them I still collaborate with."   This perspective captures what world-class research is really about: creating knowledge, building international networks, and empowering the next generation of researchers and engineers.   For decades, Frede has played a key role in advancing power electronics research globally while simultaneously helping educate talents who now contribute to academia and industry across the world.   At the Department of Energy, we are proud to celebrate yet another remarkable recognition – and even prouder of the lasting impact behind it.   Congratulations, Frede! 👏   📍The photo was taken during his time as Honorary Doctor at Aalto University.   Read more: https://lnkd.in/eE4YkXhq
