ESI is pleased to share that four ESI staff members are ranked among the world's Top Scientists in 2026 by Research.Com (https://research.com/). This 5th edition of the ranking contains the h-index, publications, and citation values collected on 12th January 2026.   The 5th edition of Top Scientists ranking list includes 178,039 scientists for 23 disciplines, including Animal Science and Veterinary, Biology and Biochemistry, Business and Management, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth Science, Ecology and Evolution, Economics and Finance, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Engineering and Technology, Environmental Sciences, Genetics and Molecular Biology, Immunology, Law and Political Science, Materials Science, Mathematics, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Medicine, Microbiology, Neuroscience, Physics, Plant Science and Agronomy Psychology, Social Sciences and Humanities. The inclusion criteria for scholars to be considered for the ranking of top scientists are based on the discipline h-index, the proportion of the contributions made within the given discipline, in addition to the awards and achievements of the scientists. This ensures that the top 1% of leading scientists are considered to be in the ranking.   Four ESI staff are ranked in three disciplines, i.e. “Economics and Finance”, “Engineering and Technology” and “Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering”. Their rankings at current world and country levels in each discipline are summarized below.
