Dr Su Bin, Senior Research Fellow and Division Head, was invited by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP) to participate in the Inception Workshop on Energy Transition for Green Growth and Prosperity (ETGGP) held in Indonesia on 19 June 2029. At the workshop, Dr Su presented collaborative research conducted with Tsinghua University on “Human Capital Readiness for Energy Transition”, highlighting the critical role of workforce preparedness in supporting the region’s transition to a clean energy future. The workshop also marked the release of the working paper, “Putting People at the Center of Asia-Pacific’s Clean Energy Future”, a joint effort by UN ESCAP, Tsinghua University, and the National University of Singapore (NUS). The publication underscores the importance of placing people, skills development, and inclusive policies at the heart of the energy transition agenda.
