Great projects often start with one simple question: “How can we make this work?” 💡 In East Frisia, that question became the spark for something new. Strict height limits and environmental clearance rules meant our standard towers couldn’t be used for the E‑175 EP5 E2. Instead of scaling back ambitions, we set out to rethink the solution, and the result is the 120‑metre hybrid steel “Ostfriesland Tower.” “Our aim was to make projects possible rather than fail because of restrictions,” explains Moritz Rodenhausen, Head of Product Management. “The speed at which we were able to implement this tower design shows how much we have accelerated and streamlined our processes.” By combining components from our Modular Steel Tower and tubular steel tower, our team developed a flexible design tailored precisely to the region’s requirements. It’s a clear example of what happens when engineering, customer needs and agile thinking come together. 🤝 And this isn’t just a local solution. With IEC and DiBt certification underway, the tower will support new onshore wind projects across Europe — including the UK, Ireland, Türkiye, Poland and the Baltic states.
