From local production to local impact: ENERCON is scaling up in Türkiye After successfully localizing rotor blade production, we’re taking the next big step: Generator and steel tower production for our flagship turbine E‑175 EP5 E2 will now also take place in Türkiye. At the Turkish-German Energy Forum in Ankara, ENERCON, ATEŞ Wind Power, and ATEŞ Çelic signed a production partnership that marks a significant milestone for our growth in this key market. Signing ceremony at the Forum (from left): Heiko B. Juritz, COO of ENERCON; Katherina Reiche, German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy; Dr. Alparslan Bayraktar, Ph.D., Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources; and Mahmut Güldoğan, Vice President of ATEŞ Wind Power. 📍 What this means in practice: 🔹Up to 120 generators per year and hybrid steel tower (HST) components produced locally 🔹Around 300 new jobs created in Bergama (Izmir Province) 🔹Strengthening regional supply chains, industrial capabilities, and global resilience 🔹Enabling full local content compliance for Turkish wind tenders This partnership is more than industrial expansion – it is a strong example of international collaboration driving the energy transition forward. With our E‑175 EP5 E2 (7.0 MW / 175 m rotor diameter), one of the most powerful onshore turbines in Europe and the backbone of our solution portfolio for the renewable energy ecosystem – we are empowering our customers to succeed in competitive markets. Türkiye remains a strategic core market for ENERCON. With over 4 GW installed capacity and more than two decades of presence, we are reaffirming our long-term commitment to supporting the country’s renewable energy ambitions. Start of generator production in Bergama is scheduled for Q4 2026. First HST components will also be delivered in 2026. Together with our partners, we are not just localizing production – we are accelerating the energy transition where it matters most. #ENERCON #WindEnergy #EnergyTransition #Localization #GlobalPartnerships #Renewables #Manufacturing
