The journey of Open Africa Power 2025 comes to an end, marking another significant step in supporting the next generation of African energy leaders. Since its launch in 2018, the program has brought together talented students and young professionals from across the continent to enhance their skills in renewable energy, policy, and sustainable energy access. Through academic training, technical modules, field visits, and hands-on learning, participants acquire the tools to accelerate a fair and inclusive energy transition. The Italian Module has now wrapped up with a closing event hosted at the UNDP Rome Centre—an opportunity to reflect on the role of youth, international cooperation, and innovation in shaping Africa’s energy future. As this edition concludes, participants return home with new knowledge, stronger networks, and a shared commitment to expanding sustainable energy solutions in their communities.
