Day 2 at the #GSTCE_2026 - Global Space Technology Convention & Exhibition 2026, organized by Singapore Space & Technology Think Tank, marked another exciting day of conversations, innovation, and collaboration for Enclustra as a Bronze Sponsor at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore. A key highlight of the final day was the participation of Ioana Josan-Drinceanu, Manager, Business Unit Standard Platforms at Enclustra, in the panel discussion: 🎤 “Orbital Data Centres: Just Hype Or Is There Real Commercial Value Today?” Together with an outstanding panel of industry leaders and moderated by Dr Karryl Kim Sagun Trajano from the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, the session explored one of the most talked-about topics shaping the future of the space economy. The discussion addressed the real opportunities behind orbital data centres: natural cooling and access to abundant solar energy, reduced environmental impact on Earth, and major advantages in speed, security, and resilience. Beyond the vision, the conversation focused on today's priorities: how to turn the concept into a commercially viable reality; which technologies can already be deployed in space; which business models make sense; who is ready to invest; and where execution challenges still remain.
