This was more than a supplier visit. Last week, representatives from across the Rotterdam hydrogen ecosystem visited Enapter's headquarters and production facility in Pisa to explore what it takes to turn green hydrogen projects into reality. The delegation brought together the organizations that play different roles in making hydrogen projects happen. Iris Bergshoeff-Klingeman represented Platform Zero, Auke Ferwerda joined on behalf of the Smart Hydrogen Hub project, Koen van Eig joined on behalf of Darel Education in his LaunchH2 capacity, Arthur Scheffer represented Adsensys, Mark Smith represented InnovationQuarter, Jorn Douwstra represented Rotterdam Partners, and Mark Stoelinga joined online on behalf of the Port of Rotterdam. Christof Winker and the Enapter team hosted two days of technical discussions and workshops. What made this visit different was its focus. The conversations were not about choosing an electrolyzer. They focused on how modular green hydrogen production can be deployed, integrated, certified, financed, connected to industrial offtake, and ultimately scaled within the Port of Rotterdam ecosystem. Topics ranged from the Smart Hydrogen Hub deployment pathway and Rotterdam as a launch environment for Enapter technology to the integration of electrolyzers, battery storage, and CoreKraft™ EMS, as well as certification, site readiness, and future market opportunities. Beyond the discussions, the delegation toured Enapter's production facility, following the complete manufacturing process from membranes and bipolar plates to stack assembly, testing, and final system integration. One observation captured the experience particularly well: "It's impressive to see how many dedicated people here are building their careers around the production of electrolyzers." That is the part no slide deck can show. Industrial capability is built long before the first project is awarded. It is built in manufacturing, rigorous testing, system integration, and, above all, in the people who make deployment possible every day. #Enapter #GreenHydrogen #Electrolyzer #PortOfRotterdam #EnergyTransition #AEM
