Last month, Kate Slater and our Emerging Talent team accompanied a group of EMR apprentices on a visit to HJ Enthoven and Ecobat to see lead-acid battery recycling up close. The scale of what they encountered left a real impression. The facility tour gave apprentices direct insight into high-temperature lead recycling, how recovered materials return to the manufacturing supply chain and what the circular economy looks like at an industrial scale. Just as valuable was the chance to connect. Apprentices from across the business came together, shared experiences and put their questions directly to the Ecobat team. Exactly the kind of knowledge-sharing that turns a site visit into something that stays with you. This is what developing the next generation looks like at EMR. Curious minds. Real environments. A clearer understanding that tomorrow’s supply chains depend on what we recover today.
