Congratulations to Dr. Rebecca Rodriguez Carey for receiving the Roe R. Cross Distinguished Professor Award, ESU’s highest faculty honor! The Roe R. Cross Distinguished Professor Award has been given since 1979 to the ESU professor who best demonstrates teaching excellence, professional activities, fostering of intellectual atmosphere, service to the university outside the classroom and status as a student mentor. Dr. Rodriguez Carey has received numerous awards since her tenure began at ESU in 2018, for both leadership and student outcomes, making “a lasting impact on countless students since Day One,” according to Provost Thomas.
