Emporia State University received a $2.5 million grant from the Walter S. & Evan C. Jones Testamentary Trust, Bank of America, N.A., Trustee to strengthen early literacy efforts across Lyon, Osage and Coffey counties. The award will expand ESU’s Mobilizing Literacy Initiative, deepen partnerships with regional school districts and create more opportunities for students in The Teachers College to support early learning. This investment ensures continued progress in early literacy, family engagement and access to high-quality preschool experiences—helping more children enter school ready to succeed.
