Today we’re proud to launch NeuralMould, our first digital engineer. If you work in injection moulding, you know the drill: change a gate, re-run, wait, repeat. Today, we’re compressing that loop. NeuralMould is an AI model that allows engineers to iterate in seconds based on physics feedback, rather than waiting for the full exhaustive traditional simulation cycle. The demo allows engineers to select from a range of geometries and test injection, material, and gate placement parameters to simulate filling behaviour in seconds. Rapidly test multiple scenarios to optimize process KPIs and avoid frozen flow fronts. Any geometry. Any material. Any injection gates. One model. The simulation of injection moulding is highly complex, involving multi-physics calculations that model the transient flow of viscous plastic through thin-walled geometries at extreme temperature and pressure conditions. NeuralMould is able to capture such phenomena for a wide range of injecting conditions and mould geometries, achieving comparable performance to traditional solvers with a fraction of computation time.
