Global Head of Official Institutions Coverage

It was a pleasure to be back in the Middle East after a year. A few takeaways: ♦The level of activity and pipeline of projects in the region remains very strong; ✔The vision to keep transforming local economies—supported by both local and international financing—while investing across diverse geographies is as strong as ever; 🌍 Sovereignty, geopolitics, and shifting global trade patterns were key discussion topics, as they are in many regions at the moment; 🤝 Public sector players are uniquely positioned to build bridges between geographies, implement long-term strategies, and ensure efficient financing for critical areas like AI, defense, and infrastructure. A warm thank you to all the partners and customers we met—nothing beats in-person discussions to explore how public and private sectors can work together to finance today’s top priorities. And of course, it’s always a pleasure to join my local colleagues who are tirelessly expanding Crédit Agricole CIB footprint in the region, from Dubai to Doha, Abu Dhabi to Riyadh, and Kuwait.
