I'm ridiculously delighted and very humbled to have been awarded an OBE in the Birthday Honours. It's fair to say that I could never have dreamed of something like this when I was growing up. In fact I wouldn't have believed it possible when I joined the The Association of Taxation Technicians nine years ago. I want to thank everyone at ATT, HMRC and beyond for the support they've given me in recent years. Particularly big thanks to my amazing boss Jane Ashton, all of the ATT team (in particular Senga Prior, Helen Thornley, David Wright, Autumn Murphy CTA ACCA ATT, Steven Pinhey CTA ATT (Fellow), Chris Campbell BA (Hons) CA CTA ATT and Vicky Symons) and Craig Ogilvie and Sam Wood 🪵 ACA at HMRC. I couldn't have done any of it without you and I'm excited to see where we can go in the future. Finally, good news like this always brings to mind those who are no longer here to share it with.
