Rankin, Gilbert Marsh, and Horace C. Hill. The company is most well known for making marbles and by 1920 became the largest glass-marble manufacturer in the world. By the 1930s they diversified into manufacturing pressed glass, successfully marketing and selling tea sets and other glassware. How did they succeed during their time? By diversifying and embracing innovation and new technologies (the company invented and patented unique machine systems). –– Their marbles and glassware are highly sought after among collectors.
