Intercalating Medical Student

Last week, I had the opportunity to give my first oral presentation at the British Association of Dermatologists Annual Meeting 2026, where I presented my research project. It was a memorable experience to share my research, learn about the latest advances in dermatology, and meet clinicians and researchers with a shared interest in the specialty. Hearing about the breadth of research and innovation in dermatology was both inspiring and motivating. I also found the pre-conference DermSchool event incredibly valuable, particularly the workshops, lectures, and career panel, which provided great insight into the specialty and training pathway. I'm grateful for the opportunity and would like to thank my mentor, Dr. Khaylen Mistry, and my supervisors, Nick Levell MBE and Dr. Zoe Venables for their guidance and support throughout the project. As an intercalating medical student with an interest in dermatology, attending the meeting has further encouraged me to continue exploring the specialty and getting involved in research. #BAD2026 #Dermatology #MedicalStudent #Research #OralPresentation #intercalation
