5th year Medical Student at UCL.
Delighted to have co-hosted the London Medical School Paediatric Conference 2026 at UCL as UCL MedSoc Paediatrics Vice Chair last weekend. This year’s conference theme, “Child Health Across the Globe,” brought together sixth form students, medical students, clinicians and educators from across the world to explore global perspectives on paediatric care, research and health equity. I also had the opportunity to present a poster with Laetisha Azzahra Witoyo at the conference, titled “Evaluating the Impact of a Paediatric Mentorship Scheme on Pre-Clinical Medical Students.” This project explored how structured mentorship can support early exposure to paediatrics, build confidence, and strengthen interest in the specialty among pre-clinical medical students. A huge thank you to my fellow committee members, speakers and attendees who made the day such a success. It was inspiring to see so many students passionate about improving child health and paediatric education, both locally and globally. Looking forward to continuing this work and supporting the next generation of future paediatricians.
