Day 3 – Morro Bay ➡️ Buellton Mileage: 93.5 (bike) Time: 9:10hrs Calories: 1,957 😅 The MNS Engineers, Inc. Roadshow bike tour continues! On day three every I rode through iconic beach towns and California Farm country. Very windy today, but lucked out with it to my back for a good part of the day. The challenge was too climbing passes, Cat Canyon and Drum Canyon. Climbing with a loaded bike will humble you pretty quickly, toss in a strong headwind and you might just walk a bit. 🙃 both of these passes, saw a little traffic and even less road maintenance, they were narrow, rough, and bumpy, but it added to that feeling of being alone on an adventure. 🛣️ Project Highlight: two projects today! The first was Los Alamos Community Svc District’s wastewater treatment plant. Our team recently completed a climate adaptation plan to ready the districts infrastructure against the effects of climate change. The second project was Avenue of the Flags in City Of Buellton. This project from 2013 involved our government services, engineering, and construction management teams to create and implement a pedestrian safety and intersection improvement plan which aimed to make multi-model transportation to schools a safer option.
