A snippet from the first take of Danish composer Knudåge Riisager’s Aquarelle 🎨 A piece that lies close to my heart, reflecting Riisager’s deep engagement with French culture and his time at our fellow conservatory - Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse . It was a joy to record this work together with my dearest husband Jean-Baptiste Doulcet ❤️ Through this recording I hope to help this music travel further, building on the beautiful interpretation by Danish violinist Johannes Søe, through whom I first discovered this pearl - and also to show my Danish feathers in my French surroundings 🇩🇰🇫🇷 This recording will also be featured on March 14th in a two-hour radio programme on France Musique dedicated to French Connection Academy, made by FCA Professor, pianist and journalist Philippe Cassard. A warm thank you to Atelier Pierre Barthel for lending me this wonderful violin and bow for a few days, enriching the sound of this piece 🙏✨ #KnudågeRiisager #ViolinPiano #DanishFrench #CulturalHeritage #FrenchConnectionAcademy
