We are pleased to welcome LtCol Thijs Jansen: our new Defense Attaché to Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. On Friday he was officially accredited to Estonia and had a full programme of meetings with Estonian counterparts.   LtCol Jansen brings valuable experience from his previous positions, having worked at the Netherlands Defence Staff for quite some years. Not only was he coordinating international visits and meetings of the Dutch Chief of Defence, national ceremonies and the operational readiness of the Armed Forces, but he has been responsible for military music as well.   With a strong understanding of diplomatic engagement, military operations and international cooperation, he proudly looks forward to working closely with our partners on further strengthening defence ties in the Baltic region.   A big thank you to the Kaitseministeerium / Ministry of Defence of Estonia and the Estonian Defence Forces for the warm welcome!
