Breakfast at EMAT felt a little more special this morning ☕✨ We gathered together to celebrate an exciting milestone: the arrival of our brand-new Iliad microscope from Thermo Fisher Scientific, which officially reached its new home yesterday. This is an important step forward for EMAT (Electron Microscopy for Materials Science) and for the NANOlight Center of Excellence - UAntwerpen, strengthening our capabilities in advanced electron microscopy and nanoscale characterization. With this new instrument, we expand the tools available to our researchers and collaborators, enabling cutting-edge experiments and opening new directions in imaging and analysis. A big moment for the team, and just the beginning of many discoveries to come. 🚀
