This year four bachelor students successfully completed their bachelor projects at EMAT 👏 We would like to highlight their excellent work and dedication: 🔹 Matti Cornille Promotor: Prof. Sara Bals Project: Belang van SEEBIC in de studie van katalytische nanomaterialen (EN: Importance of SEEBIC in the study of catalytic nanomaterials) This project is carried out within the framework of the ERC POC SEEBIC project. 🔹 Des De Borger Promotor: Prof. Johan Verbeeck Project: Een compact en open-source permanente magneet elektronenlens: van simulatie tot realisatie (EN: A compact and open-source permanent magnet electron lens: from simulation to realization) This project is carried out within the framework of the SBO FWO national project S000121N (AutomatED). 🔹 Vasco Verwimp Promotor: Prof. Sara Bals Project: Kwantificering & Modellering als Leidraad voor de Optimalisatie van de Chiroptische Eigenschappen van Au-helicoïden met 432-symmetry (EN: Quantification & Modeling as a Guideline for the Optimization of the Chiroptical Properties of Au Helicoids with 432 Symmetry) This project is carried out within the framework of the ERC Synergy Chiral-Pro project. 🔹 Ronan Van den Berghe Promotor: Prof. Sara Bals Project: Onderzoek naar structurele chiraliteit in anisotroop MoS₂ & goudnanosystemen (EN: Investigation of structural chirality in anisotropic MoS₂ and gold nanosystems) This project is carried out within the framework of the ERC Synergy Chiral-Pro project. Their projects covered a diverse range of topics and showcased strong analytical, experimental, and problem-solving skills.
