Chief Financial Officer at Montea

I had the honor of being interviewed by Francesca Vanthielen for Montea’s own podcast The Heels Forward Podcast. The episode is now online. When you look at the names of those who have shared their stories before me at The Heels Forward Podcast | Powered by Montea, I feel truly flattered to have been invited as well. In our conversation, we naturally spoke about Montea’s growth and what it takes to scale a company without losing quality or culture. We also reflected on how the CFO role has changed - from focusing mainly on reporting to becoming a strategic partner in shaping the company’s future. For me, leadership is no longer just about expertise, but also about empathy, common sense, and sometimes daring to let go. What makes this episode different from other podcasts or interviews I’ve done before is that it’s not only about Montea or the role of a CFO. It also touches on the more personal side of my journey: How I’ve learned to slow down, make conscious choices, and find balance. My family plays a big role in that, especially being “Aunt Els” to ten nieces and nephews, who remind me every day of what really matters 💚 The episode is available on Spotify, SoundCloud, and Apple Podcasts (in Dutch). Or you can watch on YouTube with English subtitles. Thank you Christine De Glas for inviting me to be part of this podcast. 🚀 #CFO #Leadership #TeamCulture #BEL20 #Montea #HeelsForwardPodcast #WomenInFinance
