#WWII is still not over, after 81 years! Read this amazing story on a #seventeenth #century #painting belonging to a great art collection from an art collector in #Amsterdam. #Goudstikker being Jewish, fled to England to escape the Nazi’s but he fell in a hetch on the ship and died. His collection ended in the claws of Hermann Göring who stole, or ‘bought’ with the knife on the throat of the art owners, all the Dutch art he could lay his hands on. This story is about only one painting of that famous art collection!
