AVA interview: Immigration Journey from F1 international students to U.S. Immigrants Legal Tech AI founder Khalil Zlaoui , Founder of CaseBlink I had the opportunity to interview Khalil Zlaoui, Founder of @caseblink.ai , during the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Annual Conference 2026 in San Diego. I first learned about CaseBlink through a startup associate from Silicon Valley Bank in August 2024. Since then, I have been inspired by Khalil’s journey from an F-1 international student to building an AI-powered legal tech company that is transforming immigration law. For Venture Capitalists information CaseBlink, a Miami-based AI startup for immigration law, secured $2 million in a pre-seed funding round in March 2025. The investment was led by Tower Research Ventures and major immigration law firms, including Fakhoury Global Immigration (FGI). I have worked closely with many F-1 international students. Khalil’s story is one of the most inspiring examples of the entrepreneurial spirit and innovation that international students bring to the United States. He is definitely someone I would include on my “F-1 Dream Team” of founders who are making a meaningful impact on the country. If you are an immigration attorney or law firm handling high-skilled immigration cases such as EB-1, NIW, or O-1 petitions, I encourage you to explore CaseBlink, an AI platform built specifically to support immigration practitioners.
