Wow. Well I'll say this. It's a start. At least there is growing support for early stage. At least there are more private actors, althought a trait about the German ecosystem is that the government can and does take on a lot of this role. I see it as a competitive advantage, IF the government agencies can be more objective than US VCs. US VSs are so dominated by Tech Bro culture, it creates an interherent bias and disadvantage for funding the best companies not falling in this very narrow range. German state-backed VCs have an opposite weak point André Nikolski Jens N. Bjoern Bauermeister, CFA where they fill quotas instead of vet concepts, and also tend to fill quotas in things they "like" which makes it, again, less objective. It's important to build a solid foundation, but the more the ecosystem evolves, the more important it will to fill in the holes.
